I Finally Met With Jodi!!

Well, today I finally got to meet Jodi! Because I already had a warm traditional welcome to Hawaii from Linda I decided to welcome Jodi into my world and surprise her with a dozen blue roses. If you didn't already know, blue is one of my favorite colors.
When she opened the door to greet me, she was surprised to see the roses and immediately gave me a big hug and a kiss on the cheek. She took me to her craft room to help her color since I helped Jamee and Linda. Just when she grabbed a piece of paper she immediately got a paper cut that started to bleed. Here's what the cut looks like.

It's a good thing that Jasper wasn't here to see or smell the blood. It's even better that I'm a vegetarian.

I really had no idea what I could do to help but I managed to find a band-aid to help protect her finger and stop the bleeding.

I'm so glad that I am speedy with things, it helped when I had to take the packaging off the band aid.
Once that was taken care of we went straight to work and I was pretty used to holding the pen in one hand when Jamee and I colored.
Here's what it looks like after I was done. I still need lots of practice. Since the coloring took a while Jodi and I were not able to piece the card together and will do that another time.
She invited me to a function that she will be going to this Saturday that involved stamping and meeting the local bloggers. That is a great opportunity for me to meet others and maybe get a chance to hunt. Jodi noticed that my eyes were a different color and knew that it was time for me to hunt soon.
I'll be back to share with you my adventure from Saturday and I hear Jamee and Linda will be there too!
Until then, look after my heart I've left it with you.

Oh Well

Unfortunately, we will not be experiencing much of a tropical storm. It dissipated over night, so there will not be as much rain as originally forecasted. I was really looking forward to it. There is some rain, however, and that is nice.
I spent some time with Jamee and a few of her mother's daycare children in the patio listening to the rain.
I will be back in a few days.

Cleaning

Jamee wanted to clean out her closet the other night, and being the gentleman that I am, I offered to help. It has been a while since she cleaned it out, so we had our work cut out for us.

And I thought Alice had a lot of bags! This isn't even half of it! (Jamee is reading Breaking Dawn-again, that is why it is missing in the background)
Look at all of this! This is a fraction of what we pulled out of there. Jamee ended up giving/throwing away about half of the things she had in her room. The children her mother baby sits went home with bags of things the following day.

I recieved a few of those items myself. Now I can play some basketball. Hopefully the ball can hold up to my super vampire strength.

I got a whiff of something warm and gushing while we were cleaning. I knew it wasn't Jamee's blood, so I let my nose lead the way.
Look what I found. A tasty mountain lion.

It was one of the best mountain lions that I have ever tasted, and I didn't even have to go hunting for it.
I also found myself a flashlight. Now I'm prepared for Tropical Storm Felicia which is scheduled to hit the island of Oahu on Tuesday.
By 2am, Jamee was ready for bed. Check out her blog tomorrow to see the final product.
I'll be back in a few days. Those of you in Felicia's path, Be safe.

My Creative Side

I headed back to Jamee's house yesterday and decided to show her what Linda taught me while I was at her place. Linda and Jamee are really into crafts and this past week I learned a few things.
Linda loves her copics and showed me how to use them. So I tried my luck at it.
I believe I did very well considering it was my first time using the pens. Mmmm, if only the grizzly bear was real.

I wanted to use some buttons for my card. Jamee and her mom has quite a few to choose from.

I had a little mishap with the buttons.

Until next time, Be safe.

Getting acquainted

Here I am checking out more of my new surroundings at Linda's house. Her place is definitely smaller than Jamee's place. She only has one tree growing in her tiny yard. Here is the view of it from her patio.

There are quite a few of these potted plants here. I learned that they are the ti plant and they are grown in many yards all around the State of Hawaii. Linda got these plants from her parents when she moved to her home almost 11 years ago. Legend says these plants are for good luck and protection from evil spirits. You can read a little bit more about the ti plant here.

While I was outside, Linda asked me if I wanted to change into "rubber slippers". Hmm. I didn't know how to respond. As politely as I could, I said, "Thanks for the offer, but I'm just fine." Then she gave me a pair of these and said that I might be more comfortable in them instead of my shoes. Oh! She was talking about flip flops! Linda apologized for giving me this pair - if you look closely, you can see that a little chunk was bitten off the backs of these. She left them outside the night before I arrived and said a "dog" must've come by and chewed on them. Gee, I wonder if Jacob new I was coming ...
By the way, in case you didn't know, I believe the custom here in Hawaii is to remove your shoes before entering someone's home. I didn't know that, and Linda didn't say anything. But I did notice that she and her family walked around their house barefoot so I did the same. She said she gave me those slippers to wear later on if I decided to walk around during the night. After her family went to bed, Linda stayed up with me and we talked for a bit. She said that she, Jamee and Jodi are huge fans of Twilight and that their other passion is papercrafting. All three of them have blogs, which I will definitely be checking out when I have some free time. She showed me an image that she stamped, colored and cut out. Funny, this guy sure reminds me of someone ...

I'm gonna have to hunt soon. Make sure you come back again for more of my Hawaiian Adventures. Until next time, think about this: Do I dazzle you?

Visiting another friend

What a night! I had a blast at the slumber party with Jamee and her friends. They're a bunch of really fun gals - the little guys were really cool too. It's a good thing I left when I did though. The smell of all those humans was beginning to overwhelm me. At least I was able to hunt before going to Linda's house. Here I am, ringing her doorbell. She knew I was coming and said she had a surprise for me. I wonder what it is ...

Well! This isn't what I was expecting at all! I have to say that I'm a little embarrassed. As soon as we met she gave me a big hug and kiss and said she wanted to give me a lei! Oh! I get it now! This is what they do in Hawaii! They give you a flower lei as a gift when you're visiting the Islands. Hmm, what kind of lei were you all thinking about? Now, now, let's keep it clean.

Here I am, after being "lei'd" in Hawaii, by my new friend, Linda. Thank you, Linda, that was a very nice thing to do for me. I believe she told me this is a Maile lei. She wanted me to have a lei that was more masculine than feminine.

I had a gift for Linda too. Here I am giving her the famous Twilight apple.

While my hostess was busy preparing dinner for her family, I went outside to check out the new surroundings. Hmm, not as lush as Jamee's place, but I think I'll be okay here. At least for a couple of days.

Until next time, look after my heart ~ I've left it with you ...

The Slumber Party

Pocket Edward and I had a fun night with my cousin, Tianee, and her friends on Saturday night. Here's a recap of what went on as told by Pocket Edward himself.
When we pulled up Tianee's house, I was relieved to see the mountains and the vegetation. If I needed an escape, it wouldn't be too hard to be unnoticeable.

Tianee's friends were very welcoming, although one of them is on Team Jacob.

We played a bunch of games, and the girls giggled a lot. (Tianee is the one in the green on the right)

Here is a picture of me starting out a round of a game called "elevator." There is a designated elevator space and one at a time, each person pretends to step into the elevator then does a type of body movement or says something, and everyone that is already "in" the elevator copies what the newest occupant.

Here is Andrew (Tianee's cousin) copying me.

It was a very entertaining night. Even little Jordan had fun hanging out with the girls.

Why is it that the ladies just can't keep their hands off of me???

By the time the girls laid down for bed (3:45am), their blood became too much to handle. I believe it was from the adrenalin running through their veins, it made their blood mouth watering. I said good night to Jamee and the rest of the girls.

Then I made my way out the window and into the mountains.
Jamee, Linda, and I already had it planned, that if it were to become too much for me, I would run to Linda's house. I was greeted with a warm welcoming being that it was my first time to her home.

Come back in a few days to hear about Edward's stay at Linda's house!
